The NGS was treated to a fabulous day of exceptional October sunshine while competing for the Rothermere Challenge Cup.
The bright blue skies were interrupted by a brief shower as 24 golfers battled it at West Hill Golf Club – the youngest of the trinity of ‘Ws’ located in this most beautiful corner of Surrey.
Leading the way, with a magnificent 40 points was NGS stalwart Craig Fawcett who took home the win, beating Neil McColl on countback.
In 3rd place with a great score of 38 points was Nick Payne followed by Society Treasurer, Will Flint in 4th place with 37 points. Nearest the pin on the 8th was won by guest for the day, Luke Marvell and for NGS Secretary Garth Burden on the 13th hole.
The prizes were presented by Society vice-Captain and host for the day Joe Marvell who thanked those in attendance as well as West Hill’s team for their help organising the day.
The next fixture is the Christmas Scramble, taking place this year at Swinley Forest on the 11th of December.
