Get those diaries out and mark the dates of the golf year ahead!
We start the New Year under a new organising committee to run the Society after the retirement of former secretary Garth Burden.
First up is the annual match against the Press Golfing Society with an early start to the season in March. The PGS asked to organise it for the second year running and have booked Aldeburgh and Thorpeness. If you would like to be considered for the team, let Match Captain, Craig Fawcett know
Other matches during the year include the annual Inter-Company competition in Portugal with a small change to the usual dates. The North Foreland match in September is Captained by Lisa Heywood with the Monday venue that follows still to be confirmed and the season finishes with the traditional Christmas Scramble – venue to be confirmed as The Berkshire Clubhouse will be closed in November for renovations.
Competition days start in April with the once regular fixture at Moor Park, Walton Heath in May and West Hill in October. It’s a return to The Berkshire for the Chairman’s Summer Scramble in July with the season ending with the traditional Christmas Scramble in November – venue to be confirmed.
